At the age of 17 her family life disintegrated when her parents separated, which resulted in her being homeless 3 months before her final High School exams.
Moving to Sydney to live with a cousin, Hayley rededicated her life to the Lord at 18, on 4 March 1985.
Baptised in water a short 4 weeks later, Hayley began her 7 day a week full-on born again Christian experience, a lifestyle she upheld for the next decade.
In 1986 Hayley commenced work as the Receptionist at the International Institute for Creative Ministries in Sydney, Australia where she served the Creative and Theological College associated with Christian Life Centre for the next two years.
In 1988 Hayley surrendered to the call of God on her life and started training full-time in both the creative arts and theology, majoring in Dance with minor studies in Drama and Music.
Graduating in 1989 with a Diploma of Dance, Hayley was invited to speak on the behalf of the students at the graduation ceremony where she shared about the many things she had lost at Bible College including two grandmothers and her mother in the one year and all that she had gained from being part of the student body who had supported her and loved her through the difficult times.
Hayley’s final performance, a piece she choreographed entitled Within the Heart of Pain was so powerful that at the conclusion of the piece there was total silence in the auditorium. This same piece was her audition piece for Moving Images Performing Arts Company in Western Australia, who welcomed her with open arms into their touring company.
Over the next 18 months Hayley toured Western Australia, performing in public venues and running RI workshops across the state, culminating in a standing ovation at Perth Town Hall to a crowd of 17,000 in 1991.
When the company closed doors, Hayley reinvented herself as a business woman but kept her hand in the Christian ministry circle, running community performing arts programs and worship leading in churches.

Hayley has also established an online magazine, Golden Pen Magazine, where she tells people’s stories and highlights the wisdom from their journey, sharing Christian content alongside content that is more mainstream. This she sees as her marketplace ministry. This she does in obedience to the call of God, confirmed by an interecessor within 24 hours of God speaking to her.
